K-14 Outreach Programs
CISE strives to make information assurance and security education reach beyond the normal geographic borders of the university. In addition to provide WebBSIT courses in information security, CISE will sponsor regional IA curriculum workshops and colloquia for technical colleges, 2-year colleges, and high school technology teachers.
STEM Education Training Workshop
CISE is sponsoring a K-14 (pre-college) STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education training workshop on Saturday February 11, 2006. Information security and assurance will be one the topics discussed in the workshop. Network penetration testing and wireless security, in particular, will be presented and demonstrated to the local school teachers, school counselors, and supervisors.
